A small site built by someone who got tired of clunky, ad-stuffed clicker websites.
Look, there's no big origin story here. I was playing Minecraft with friends a couple years back and we kept arguing about who could click the fastest. So we'd open up some clicker website, run a test, and screenshot the result. The problem was every site we tried felt the same — basic counter, ten ads stuffed around it, nothing that made you want to come back.
One night I figured I could probably build something better in a weekend. Turns out a weekend wasn't enough, but the idea stuck. SpacebarClicker.live is the result of that frustration plus a lot of late-night tweaking.
The big one is that this site doesn't treat you like a number to throw ads at. You get the test, you get your stats, you get achievements that unlock as you improve, and that's it. No popups asking you to subscribe to something. No fake "you won an iPhone" banners. Just a clean tool that works.
The other thing I really wanted was a site that looked like it belonged in 2026, not 2010. Most clicker sites still look like they were built when MySpace was a thing. The cyberpunk vibe wasn't random — it just felt right for something that's all about speed and reflex.
Mostly gamers. A lot of Minecraft PvP folks come through here trying to push their CPS up. After that it's people in offices who claim they're "just taking a quick break" but somehow end up running 30 tests in a row. Students too — apparently this gets passed around in school chats during boring classes.
Also weirdly a fair number of typists who want to see how their thumb speed compares to their typing speed. No idea why but they're always welcome.
I keep a running list of stuff to add. Right now I'm thinking about a global leaderboard so you can see where you stack up against everyone, not just yourself. Maybe a tournament mode where you face off against a friend in real time. Both of those need backend work though so they'll take a minute.
If you've got an idea for something the site should have, the contact page is right there. I actually read everything that comes through.
This whole site is run by one person — me. There's no company, no team, no investors, just somebody who wanted a clicker site that didn't suck. If something breaks or feels off, that's on me, and the fastest way to fix it is to send me a note about it. Fair warning, replies might take a day or two depending on what's going on.
Thanks for being here. Now go beat your high score.
